How do you take care of your face

Your face is the first thing people see, so it only makes sense that you would want to take good care of it. Everyone's skincare needs are different, but maintaining a consistent routine is essential to take care of your face, no matter your skin type. Also, take the time to address any specific skincare issues you may be grappling with, such as acne or particularly dry skin. Finally, try to live a healthy lifestyle to keep your skin healthy and glowing!

Wash your face in the morning when you wake up. Every day as soon as you wake up, wash your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser designed for your skin type. Massage your face in circular motions, but do not rub your face violently. Remember that the skin on your face is delicate, so it is important to wash it gently. 

Avoid using very hot water to wash your face, as this can dry out your skin.

If you have sensitive or dry skin, choose a moisturizing cleanser. Use a foaming cleanser if you have oily skin, or choose a cleanser that contains salicylic acid if you have acne-prone skin.

2 Use an alcohol-free toner after 

washing your face to balance your skin tone. Toner helps remove any traces of makeup, dirt, oil, and other impurities from your skin that may be left behind after washing your face. Plus, it can help balance your skin's pH level, making it healthier and less prone to breakouts.

To protect yourself from the sun, choose a mineral moisturizer (one that contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) with SPF 30 and UVA/UVB protection.  If you're outside where you might sweat heavily, or if you're swimming, plan to reapply SPF at least every two hours. 

Overexposure to the sun can prematurely age your skin. It can also lead to sunspots, and you'll be at a higher risk of developing skin cancer.

Try to avoid spending time in the sun between the hours of 10am and 4pm, when the rays are at their strongest.

It's okay to use a separate product with an SPF if the moisturizer you're using doesn't provide sun protection.

8 Apply a heavier moisturizer before bed

After washing your face at night, apply a light layer of thicker night cream to moisturize and repair your skin overnight. For best results, look for a product that suits your skin type and contains retinol or an alpha hydroxy acid to start stimulating collagen. However, if you don't have a separate product on hand, use your regular moisturizer during the day.

You may also want to apply a separate lotion to the skin around your eyes to lift and unify your lips, as well as a thick lip balm to keep your lips moisturized and soft.

9- Sleep on your back on a clean pillow

Try to get used to sleeping on your back as often as possible. If you sleep on your side or stomach, your face will be pressed against your pillow, which can cause wrinkles in your skin. It may also cause fluid to collect under the skin, making your face look puffy. Over time, sleeping on your side or stomach may increase your chances of developing wrinkles when your face presses against the pillow.

If you don't wash your pillowcase, the dirt and oil can increase your chances of developing acne.

A satin pillowcase may help reduce the risk of wrinkles, because your skin will glide more smoothly over the fabric.

Balance your skin with a face mask once in a while

Use a face mask tailored to your skin type once a week. There are a number of different masks on the market, from clay masks to sheet masks, and each is designed to target specific skin issues or concerns. For example, if you have dry skin, you can use a nourishing mask made of white clay.

5 Flick the stray hairs to remove them

It's completely normal to spot stray hairs between your eyebrows, above your upper lip, or under your chin. However, if they are bothering you, it's okay to banish them. Hold your hair with sharp tweezers and try to get as close to the base of the hair as possible. Then pull the hair sharply in the same direction as its growth. The hair should slide down from the roots.

For more affected facial hair, consider visiting an esthetician for waxing, threading, or bleaching. You can even ask about more permanent procedures such as laser hair removal or depilation.

6- Put cucumber on your eyes to reduce puffiness

Start by poking your lower lip as far as you can. Hold this position for 30 seconds, then tilt your head down so that your chin is toward your chest, and stay in this position for 30 seconds as well. Then look up at the ceiling and push your bottom lip out.
